La Union Travel Guide

Image
Sunset, beach, and the vibe - my La Union love affair 🧑 La Union, or popularly called “Elyu”, has emerged in the spotlight among travelers with its inexplicable vibe that makes you want to keep coming back, or for some, stay for good. Probably the first thing that would pop in your mind when you hear about this place is surfing. And yes, Urbiztondo’s waves would definitely spark the inner surfer in you, which is by the way perfect even for beginners.  Aside from this well known fact, San Juan quickly turned into a food haven.   While Bali has Seminyak for the cozy and Pinterest-y cafes and restaurants, Philippines has Elyu. Not only do they serve mouth-watering meals, cafes here put as much effort in their store interiors, with a bonus view of the beach. So how do we get there? Where can we stay? What spots should we try? See my travel guide below! How to Get There From Cubao, take a bus bound for La Union and tell the conductor to drop you off at Urbi...

On Fame and Popularity - A Confession

Image
"Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, and riches take wings. Only one thing endures and that is Character." Photo taken by Abyz Mamangon Maybe, we might have all been there. There was once a time in our lives, when the number of likes defined the purpose of our contents.  Here’s my story. When I was just starting, I would frequently check on my notifications to see how my NUMBERS are doing. Yes, the number of likes, comments and shares I get from each post. I would end up constantly refreshing my feed, reading comments, and replying to them one by one to get more engagements. The more you participate, the higher the probability that people would notice you and the higher the chance that the post would resurface on people’s feed. I did not notice it at first but it became one of my priorities. I would share my posts to a lot of groups to further increase my network. And then, the followers began pouring in. Suddenly, collaboration offer...

A FIRST TIMER'S GUIDE TO BALI & NUSA PENIDA 2020

Image
Tree House, Nusa Penida Here, I'll be sharing my recent experience and what to expect in Bali - one of the most sought after travel destination! Surprisingly, they play filipino songs. From Moira's latest singles, to Bagay Tayo, and even Neneng B. Locals will also call you ATE/KUYA. I even heard a lot of sellers saying "Pili pili lang bes". 🀣 We stayed for 5D4N (February 23 - 27, 2020) but only had four days for the tours so we maximized it without having to compromise our "chill time". Well, we are on a vacation aren't we? 😊 Wanagiri Hidden Hill So before anything else, ask yourself first -  where do you want to go?  With an island full of amazing wonders, you have to identify which ones would make it on your list given your schedule. Here's a tip - you can ask your guide to combine two locations in one day if you have a limited time. ⌚ Next, find the best deal for your tours. As for us, we booked thru  Weda Bali To...

Plus, some are just around the corner that you have probably overlooked all these time. No need to take a flight just to reach them. A few minutes to hours from the Metro at most, to satisfy your IG goals! Here are my top picks! 1. BLACK SUGAR      Location:  Mckinley West, Taguig A plant mom like me would definitely notice that selloum giving an accent to this pink ensemble. A cozy ambience for milk tea goers. I love how they combined pastel colors for a more playful look. Who would miss that heart shaped chair accentuated with gold supports? πŸ’– 2. PARAGON BY THE PENTHOUSE          Location: 3rd Floor of the South Main Mall in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay Indeed a Pink Paradise! This neon lighted signage and...
